The Memorial Bench Program

Somewhere in a park near you, someone is sitting on a bench that carries a name. Maybe they noticed the plaque, maybe they didn't. Either way, they stopped for a minute, and they rested, and that was the point.

JAHACO partners with townships, boroughs, and community spaces across Pennsylvania to place memorial benches in the parks and public places people already use. Each bench is made here in Pennsylvania from 100% recycled plastic, built to outlast the weather and the decades without sanding, staining, or repair. Each one carries a plaque with words you choose.

Below are the communities where the program is active. Choose yours to see the available locations, the colors that community has approved, and how to make a dedication.

Bring the Memorial Bench Program to your community

If you manage a park, a township, a borough, or a public space, this program is designed to give your residents a meaningful way to invest in it while costing your budget nothing.

Here is what partnership looks like:

  • No cost to the municipality. Dedications are funded entirely by the families and donors who make them.

  • You stay in control. You approve the locations, you approve the bench colors, and nothing gets placed without your sign-off.

  • No maintenance burden. Recycled plastic does not rot, splinter, or need refinishing. Once it is set, your crews can leave it alone.

  • Your residents get something back. A bench where a family can point and say, that one is ours.

  • We handle the rest. Dedication requests, plaque details, and coordination all run through us.

Every community on this list started with one conversation. If your parks could use more seating and your residents could use a way to honor someone, we should talk.
