JAHACO Memorial Bench Program

About the Memorial Bench Program

A bench is a quiet kind of memorial. It sits where people already walk, rest, and gather, and it gives them a reason to stop for a moment. Through the Memorial Bench Program, JAHACO partners with municipalities, boroughs, townships, and community spaces to place dedicated benches in the parks and public places their residents use every day.

Every bench is made in Pennsylvania from 100% recycled plastic, keeping material out of landfills and turning it into something a community will use for decades. Unlike wood, it will not rot, splinter, or need to be sanded, stained, or repainted. It does not fade the way thinner plastic furniture does. Once it is installed, it takes care of itself, which is why parks departments and facilities managers choose it, and why a dedication made today will still be there and still look right many years from now.

Each bench includes a personalized plaque. You choose the words, whether that is a name, a date, a line that meant something to someone, or a dedication to a person, a family, or a moment worth marking.
